- 1994: Harry Potter noticed Cho Chang for the first time, during the Quidditch match between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw. Gryffindor won the match, and Harry went to bed on a high. Unfortunately, this was all brought to an abrupt ended by what everyone assumed was a murder attempt by Sirius Black on Ron Weasley. In fact, he was attempting to find Peter Pettigrew in the form of Scabbers, Ron's pet rat.
- 1996: Harry Potter had an Occlumency lesson in the Dungeons with Professor Snape.
- 1999: Rufus Fudge, nephew of former Minister for Magic Cornelius Fudge, Vanishes a Muggle "tube train" as a bet. The Muggles did not notice that the train had gone missing, but Fudge was suspended from the Improper Use of Magic Office, after an inquiry is launched two days later
- 1945: Anne Volant, J. K. Rowling's mother, was born.
